Apartment Block D

The client built a complex of upmarket suites for the 60+ age group and wanted a welcoming, yet stylish reception area. This is connected by a sweeping staircase to a first-floor pause and lounge area. The significant challenge was the double volume walls which needed to be softened with appropriate artwork.

We chose a neutral palette of taupe and brown with selected accent colours. Clinton Friedman aloe prints were enlarged and hung on the high walls and they were cased with panels created with borders framing wallpaper in soft hues. Ample object and cut flowers on the many surfaces give the rooms a homely yet stylish ambiance.
